The AKC organized the “ASEAN-Korea Startup Scale-up” in conjunction with the “2020 Global Open Innovation Korea” hosted by KOTRA on 2-13 November. A total of 13 series A or above funded ASEAN startups from 6 ASEAN Member States(Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) participated in the program and conducted online business meetings with venture capitalists and accelerators from Korea and abroad.

In total, 24 business meetings were held between VCs and ASEAN startups based on the needs of both parties.

Also, government officials from Indonesia(Mr. Alma Karma, Director of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board), Philippines(Ms.Rafaelita Aldaba, Undersecretary of Department of Trade and Industry) and Vietnam(Mr. Pham Dung Nam, Director of the Initiative for Startup Ecosystem in Vietnam) shared their government policies, initiatives, and incentives to promote ICT startups in their respective countries through Webinar.
