The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) participated in NextRise 2023, Seoul, which was held in COEX from 1-2 June. NextRise is one of the largest global startup fairs in Asia organized by KDB and KITA. The AKC has contributed to establishing the grounds for exchanges between ASEAN-Korea startups through ▲startup pitching, ▲one-on-one business meetings, and ▲booth exhibition.

The ASEAN-Korea Centre has installed a booth to promote promising ASEAN startups and facilitate networking between ASEAN and Korea. 27 startups nominated by 10 AMS were introduced through the exhibition. The startups come from diverse sectors including IT solutions, e-commerce, fintech, logistics & transport platform, and food & beverage.

Especially, the winner of the 2022 ASEAN-Korea Startup Week pitching contest, Filmplace (Singapore) attended the event and pitched their film-locations platform business model on 2 June at the Round stage.
