The ASEAN-Korea Centre organized the ‘ASEAN Trade Fair 2023’ at KINTEX, Ilsan from 30 May to 2 June. Held in conjunction with ‘SEOUL FOOD 2023’, an annual food and beverage (F&B) exhibition organized by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the ASEAN Trade Fair showcased F&B products from ASEAN and provided opportunities for ASEAN companies to network and establish business partnerships with Korean buyers. Delegations from 43 companies of 10 ASEAN member states and representatives of relevant government agencies participated in the event.

During the exhibition, approximately 380 1:1 business meetings were held and the exhibition reflected current trends in Korea’s F&B market and introduce ASEAN products including healthy food, meat-substitutes, vegan, low-sugar, gluten-free and other merchandise. Food tasting events were made available for visitors to experience diverse food and beverages of ASEAN. 

In tandem with the Trade Fair, the ASEAN-Korea Centre organized the ‘ASEAN-Korea F&B Capacity Building Seminar’ at Conference Room 210 of KINTEX on 30 May, 13:30. The Seminar was attended by representatives of the ASEAN F&B companies as well as stakeholders of the Korean F&B sector. Session 1 explored the status of the Korean F&B industry, consumption trends and outlook on the rising vegan market. Session 2 served as a venue to share and exchange information about strategies and experiences of entering the Korea market by introducing ASEAN industry players that have successfully penetrated into Korean market.
