On December 3, 2021, fifteen ASEAN officials from seven ASEAN Member States visited AKC as a part of the KOICA CIAT (Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow) program. The delegation has been in the training program on Smart Cities Development at the Sungkyunkwan University since August 2020 and visited the Centre to gain knowledge about the Centre’s Smart Cities-related programs.
The program started with a welcoming remarks by H.E. Amb. Kim Hae-Yong, Secretary General of the Centre. Following the welcoming remarks, Khambou Thavixay, Deputy Head of Development Planning and General Affairs Unit from Lao PDR delivered a presentation on ‘ASEAN-Korea Relations and Smart Cities-related Programs at AKC’. The ASEAN officials from Brunei Darussalam, Lao PDR, Malaysia, and the Philippines who are currently working at the Centre also participated in the program to meet and have a discussion with the delegation. The program was concluded by group photo shooting session, but many lingered while continuing their discussions.
