ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) organized the ‘ASEAN-Korea Session’ with the theme of “Creative Economy with ASEAN Young People” at the World Cultural Industry Forum (WCIF) 2023, held on June 14 in Hotel Susung, Daegu. 

*Launched in 2019, WCIF is an annual forum that provides a platform for music and entertainment industry professionals to network and create business opportunities. 

In his keynote presentation, Secretary-General Kim Hae-yong emphasized the importance of ASEAN-Korea cooperation on mutual development.  The panel discussion invited five prominent ASEAN social media figures and a Korean pop culture professional. They shared their insights as leading industry actors and discussed ways to create synergy between K-Wave and ASEAN-Wave in the era of the creator economy.
