On 20-21 February 2020, the ASEAN Korea Centre held its 12th Annual Meeting of the Council in Seoul. The Council is the supreme decision-making body of the AKC, and is comprised of senior representatives of relevant ministries as well as Embassies in the 10 ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea, one representative from each Member Country of the AKC.

The Council reviewed and evaluated the programs of the AKC carried out in FY2019 and approved the Draft Annual Work Program and Budget for FY2020, which was based on an overarching theme titled “Connecting People, Sharing Prosperity.”

Furthermore, a total of 150 distinguished guests and stakeholders from international organizations, foreign missions, media, academia and private and cultural sectors attended the Reception held on 20 February, in celebration of the 12th Annual Meeting of the Council and the 11th Anniversary of the AKC.
