The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary General Lee Hyuk), the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry(KCCI), and Construction Association of Korea(CAK) jointly organized the *7th ASEAN Connectivity Forum, on 9 July(Tues) 2019 at Intercontinental COEX Seoul Hotel(Diamond Hall).
* ASEAN Connectivity refers to the physical, institutional, and people-to-people linkages among the 10 ASEAN Member States that can contribute to narrowing the development gap and facilitating economic integration.
H.E. Lee Hyuk, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, Mr. Jung Byung-yoon, Executive Vice Chairman of the Construction Association of Korea, H.E. Yoon Soon-gu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of ROK, H.E. Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, Minister of Development of Brunei, H.E. Bounchanh Sinthavong, Minister of Public Works and Transport of Lao PDR, Mr. Chua Chong Kheng, Deputy Chief Executive of Singapore Land Transport Authority, H.E. Phasporn Sangasubana, Chair of ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee, H.E. Lim Sung-nam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to ASEAN, H.E. Harry Harris, Ambassador of the United States to the ROK, delegates from ASEAN, and Korean businesspeople in the sectors of Transport, Energy and Smart Cities attended the Forum.
Delegates from transport, Energy, and Smart Cities related governments, state enterprises, and private companies in ASEAN delivered presentations to provide government policies and bidding information on their infrastructure projects in the afternoon session.
1:1 business meetings between ASEAN delegates and Korean privates were conducted on the second day of the program (10 July(Wed) 2019), to discuss on possible collaboration opportunities and share information on the bidding process of infrastructure projects.
