Student delegation from Sungkonghoe University visits the ASEAN-Korea Centre (24 July)

On 24 July 2019, 10 graduate students accompanied by Professor Park Eun-hong from Sungkonghoe University paid a visit to the ASEAN-Korea Centre.


The welcoming remarks were delivered by Mme. Yoo Jin-sook, Director of ASEAN Hall, where she warmly greeted the student delegation and Professor Park and gave a brief outline of the day’s program.


Mme. Khaing Mee Mee Htun, Head of Culture and Tourism Unit, then gave an informative briefing on the Centre’s activities and ASEAN-Korea relations. In the briefing, Mme. Khaing went through the history of the founding of ASEAN, and how ASEAN-Korea Centre helps to promote ASEAN-ROK relations.


In the subsequent Q&A roundtable session, Mme. Khaing was accompanied by Mme. Kim He-jin, Head of Information and Data Unit and Mme. Siti Tri Joelyartini, Deputy Head of Development Planning and General Affairs to address questions from the students. During the session, matters relevant to the New Southern policy and upcoming commemorative programs were discussed.

The ASEAN Hall of ASEAN-Korea Centre conducts the youth visit program with the aim of raising the awareness of ASEAN and ASEAN-Korea partnership among youths from primary school to university level.
