The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) organized the “ASEAN-Korea Trade and Investment Roundtable 2023” in a hybrid format on April 12. The event saw the presentation of two keynote speeches (Deputy Secretary General Satvinder Singh of ASEAN Economic Community at the ASEAN Secretariat, and Director Kwak Sungil of Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP)), followed by a panel discussion and Q& A session with invited experts.

* ‘ASEAN-Korea Trade and Investment Roundtable’, co-organized with Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), marks its third anniversary this year.

Under the theme “ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) & Korea’s Indo-Pacific Strategy”, the Roundtable facilitated discussions on how regional frameworks of ASEAN and Korea can further enhance economic cooperation between both regions. The Roundtable also looked into priority sectors of both regions focusing on ▲digital trade, ▲climate change, and ▲supply chain.
