October School Tour Program with Takpittayakhom School from Thailand, Jangnae and Sangmyung University Girls’ Middle School, and Cheongshim International Academy

Since the Covid-19 outbreak, ASEAN-Korea Centre has continued to actively engage students in its programs not only face to face but also via online platforms. On October 4, 6, 18, and 20, ASEAN-Korea Centre conducted online and offline School Tour for 179 students from Takpittayakhom School (offline), Jangnae Middle School (offline), Sangmyung University Girls’ Middle School (offline), and Cheongshim International Academy (online).

Students learned about ASEAN through the ‘ASEAN-Korea We are Friends’ video followed by presentation on ASEAN-Korea relations and career at the International Organizations. Student also participated in ASEAN Golden Bell quiz, so they can learn more about ASEAN in interesting and fun ways. Additionally, ASEAN officials from Brunei, Laos, and Malaysia took rounds participating in the programs to introduce their country and interact with the students.

The following is the testimonial from student who participated in School Tour program:

“It was good to learned about ASEAN countries that I didn’t familiar with and it was my first time to know about Brunei Darussalam. I’d like to visit ASEAN countries for travel someday”.
