The ASEAN-Korea Center and the Korea Education and Research Information Service co-organized the online Workshop for the Council of ASEAN Professors in Korea (CAPK) on November 14 (Saturday) to increase capacity of ASEAN professors and researchers in Korea who are in the front line of untact education field and strengthen ASEAN-Korea cooperation in the field of education. Under the theme of Producing e-Learning Contents and Sharing Best Practices, about 40 professors and scholars from ASEAN who are currently in Korea attended the workshop. Participants discussed skills and tips on increasing quality of e-Learning contents and practices of ASEAN professors in Korea in rapidly changing educational environment due to COVID-19.
During the 1st session, ASEAN-Korea cooperation in education, such as the ASEAN Cyber University project, was introduced by Prof. Yoon Jae-woong from Yeungjin Cyber College in order to increase the understanding of ASEAN professors and researchers in Korea on ASEAN-Korea relations. In the 2nd session, Prof. Vorasuang Duangchinda of Sri Pathum University in Thailand presented the know-how of online education content production. Then, ASEAN professors in Korea presented their online education experiences and discussed the future of online education and e-Learning in the era of ‘On-Tact' along with the know-how of creating online educational contents in the educational environment changed by Coronavirus.
In the future, the ASEAN-Korea Center will carry out various public diplomacy projects to strengthen the capacity of professors and scholars from ASEAN living in Korea.
