On 26-27 February 2018, the ASEAN Korea Centre held its 10th Annual Meeting of the Council in Busan. The Council is the supreme decision-making body of the AKC, and is comprised of senior representatives of relevant ministries as well as Embassies in the 10 ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea, one representative from each Member Country of the AKC.

The Council reviewed and evaluated the AKC programs carried out in FY2017, and approved the Draft Annual Work Program and Budget for FY2018, which was based on an overarching theme titled “Connecting People, Sharing Prosperity.” There are four specific focuses under this theme which are: Prosperity and Industry 4; Sustainable Development; People-Centered Community-Building; and People-to-People Exchange.

Furthermore, at the Reception that was held in the evening of the 26th, in celebration of the 10th Annual Meeting of the Council and the 9th Anniversary of the AKC, a total of 140 persons attended, including distinguished personnel from international organizations, honorary consuls, media, academia, private sector and so on.
