The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary General Lee Hyuk) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry(KCCI) jointly organized the 6th ASEAN Connectivity Forum, on November 27th, 2018 at the Grand Hall of the KCCI.

H.E. Lee Hyuk, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, Mr. Kim Jun-dong, Executive Vice President of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Rowel S. Barba, Undersecretary of Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines, H.E. Yoon Soon-gu, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of ROK, H.E. Marc Knapper, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of U.S. Department of State, ASEAN Ambassadors and delegates from ASEAN Member States, financial experts, Korean businessmen in the transport, energy and ICT sectors, and journalists attended the Forum.

At the first session, experts from the Asian Development Bank(ADB), Export-Import Bank of Korea(KEXIM), Overseas Private Investment Corporation(OPIC), International Finance Corporation(IFC Korea), Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation(KIND) presented and discussed on financial solutions for ASEAN infrastructure projects.

At the second session, delegations from ASEAN Member States introduced ASEAN Connectivity-related infrastructure projects and policy directions in the fields of transport, energy and ICT.

The next day, on November 28th, 2018, financial experts and ASEAN delegations have also conducted one-on-one business meetings with the Korean business community to provide up-to- date information of infrastructure projects for investment opportunities in ASEAN.
