The ASEAN-Korea Centre participated in the Inagural BUFS International Teaching Workshop on Southeast Asia and the 2017 International Conference of ISEAS/BUFS. With more than 50 international scholars from over 20 countries, the Centre promised future cooperation on ASEAN and Southeast Asian studies.

In his congratulatory remarks, H.E. Kim Young-sun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre emphasized on the importance of Southeast Asian Studies and teaching Southeast Asia. Secretary-General Kim noted that the Centre is engaging with the academia in various ways, such as organizing for the ‘International Conference on ASEAN-Korea Partnership’ in coming August to promote Southeast Asian Studies and development of ASEAN-Korea relations.
