The ASEAN-Korea Centre organized the ‘2018 ASEAN School Tour Program’ during the month of September. Around 80 students from 3 middle schools visited the ASEAN Hall of the ASEAN-Korea Centre to learn about ASEAN and ASEAN-Korea relations.

Jungrang Middle School

Participants: 24 students from Jungrang Middle School and 2 teachers

Taereong Middle School

Participants: 15 students from Taereong Middle School and 1 teacher

Noil Middle School

Date and Time: Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 10:00-12:00

Participants: 40 students from Noil Middle School and 2 teacher

In 2018, the AKC expands its range of educational programs to a wider audience by registering the AKC as an international organization to ‘Ggumgil’ operated by the Ministry of Education in Korea and by providing ‘Getting to Know ASEAN’ cultural, education and career experience activities. This program is, therefore, designed to raise awareness and understanding on ASEAN among the younger generation of Korea and the educators who have an impact on students.

Held all year-round at the ASEAN Hall of the AKC, 2018 ASEAN School Tour Program consists of diverse educational parts: △ ASEAN Talk with AKC’s ASEAN Officials seconded to the AKC, △ Special Lecture on International Organization and career experience, △ ASEAN Quiz Contest, △ Creative cultural activities, etc.
