On 15 October 2018, a special lecture by Aladdin D. Rillo, Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN for ASEAN Economic Community was held at ASEAN Hall of the ASEAN-Korea Centre. Under the title of ‘ASEAN Economic Community – Recent Update and Way Forward,’ the lecture featured major outcomes of the ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting in August, progress on economic integration of the region, and the future directions of the ASEAN-Korea economic partnership. Over 70 audiences from the ASEAN Embassies in Seoul, private companies, universities, and the media attended the lecture and had heated discussion and Q&A with the Deputy Secretary General.
