ASEAN Pavilion at G-STAR

The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary-General Kim Young-sun) set up an ASEAN Pavilion at the Global Game Exhibition G-STAR from 16 to 18 November at Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO), Busan, Korea. 30 game companies from 9 ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) was invited to showcase a wide selection of game products, both software and hardware, to the Korean businesses and public.


From 16 to 18 November, 30 ASEAN game companies showcased software such as online, mobile, video, board, and console game as well as related hardware at the ASEAN Pavilion at the G-STAR. During the exhibition, the participating companies had been given an opportunity not only to showcase their service products but also to build business networks with partners from Korea and abroad while having one-on-one business meetings. Prior to the exhibition, the Workshop on ASEAN-Korea Cooperation on Game Industry was held in 14 November with an aim to share current status of the game industries in ASEAN countries and Korea. Furthermore, in 15 November, the delegates had been offered an opportunity to visit the Creative Economy and Innovation Center to gain a first-hand knowledge on the game industry in Korea.
