ASEAN-Korea Centre set up the ASEAN Pavilion in the 31st Korea World Travel Fair (KOTFA) at the COEX Convention Center in Seoul from 9 to 12 June 2016 to promote ASEAN as an attractive tourist destination. 

On the first day of the fair, on June 9, the launching ceremony of the ASEAN campaign “Visit ASEAN@50: Golden Celebration” in 2017 was held. The ceremony was attended by Kim Young-sun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre as well as key persons from the tourism related organizations in ASEAN, including Mas Ermieyati Samsudin, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia, Benito C. Bengzon, Jr., Chair of the ASEAN Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism Development Committee (ASITDC), and Sounh Manivong, Director General, Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Lao PDR. 

During the four-day-long fair, the ASEAN Pavilion promoted ASEAN through publications on the cultures and tourism of 10 ASEAN countries as well as information sessions, combined with various experiential activities such as learning ASEAN languages, ‘ASEAN Travel Mobile Application’ download event, ASEAN Quiz, ASEAN Puzzle, and ASEAN Roulette Game.
