The 41st Meeting of the ASEAN Plus Three NTOs was held online on July 6th, 2022. The participants consisted of the ASEAN Member States, the National Tourism Organizations of Korea, China and Japan and the ASEAN Centers of the respective countries. During the session on ‘Tourism Cooperation under ASEAN-Plus One Frameworks’, the ASEAN-Korea Centre took the opportunity to introduce its main projects set out for FY2022.
In this meeting, the ASEAN Secretariat shared outcomes of the 21st Meeting of the ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Tourism Ministers and discussed key elements of the 2022-2023 ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the implementation progress of the APT Tourism Work Plan for 2021-2025 whilst exchanging opinions and ideas with the participants. The Centre re-affirmed its efforts to facilitate the inter-regional exchange of culture and tourism between ASEAN and Korea. Furthermore, the Centre shared its plans to adapt to an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable tourism of the ‘new normal’ through diverse projects aimed at digitalization of ASEAN tourism, enhancement of the region’s competitiveness and inclusivity and development of sustainable measures for travel.
