ASEAN HALL [COMPLETE] 2022.08.09 ~ 2022.08.11
On August 9 and 11, Lim Hong-jae, former ambassador to Vietnam, Cho Tae-yul, former ambassador to the UN and students from the Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF) mentoring program visited ASEAN Hall to participate in the AKC’s Youth Visit Program. Kim Hae-yong, Secretary General of AKC attended the program and delivered his welcoming remarks followed by a lecture on ASEAN-Korea relations and the AKC. During the discussion session, AKC’s Kang Ji-hyun, Head of Information and Data Unit and four ASEAN officials from Brunei, Lao PDR, Malaysia and the Philippines participated in the program and had discussion on ASEAN’s history, importance, diversity, culture & tourism digitalization and other interesting topics with the students. The students enjoyed a highly informative and engaging session with the AKC staff.

“During the discussion session, I can feel the desire of ASEAN officials to develop ASEAN more in the future. I didn’t know much about ASEAN at first, but through this visit I got to know lot about ASEAN. I had a good time that I wanted to listen even the same lecture again.”
The ASEAN-Korea Centre organizes the School Tour and Youth Visit Program with the aim of raising the awareness of ASEAN and ASEAN-Korea partnership among youths from primary school to university level.
In the situation of COVID-19, the Centre is conducting the visit programs in strict compliance with the preventive measure guidelines and taking thorough disinfection and sterilization measures for each visit.
