The ASEAN-Korea Centre organized the ASEAN Community-based Tourism Program 2019 in Mai Chau Valley of Viet Nam from 1 to 6 December 2019. The ASEAN CBT Program 2019 aims to promote Viet Nam’s CBT and introduce its hidden tourist attractions to the Korean public and international tourists.

To this end, the Centre invited journalists, youtubers, travel essayists and other content creators on the trip and together experience Vietnamese traditional culture, including the daily lives of the different ethnic minorities in Viet Nam. At the end of the program, their first-hand experience of traditional housing, batik and paper making of the H’mong ethnic group, traditional cuisine, and outdoor activities such as hiking in Pu Luong nature reserve and kayaking on the Da Reservoir will be introduced to the Korean public in feature articles and videos.
