ASEAN-Korea Tourism Capacity Building Program (Cambodia)

The ASEAN-Korea Centre, together with the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, organized the ASEAN-Korea Tourism Capacity Building Workshop for two days from October 30 to 31 in Siem Reap, Cambodia.


Held under the theme “Digital Tourism and E-marketing,” the Workshop was held to identify trends and opportunities in the rapidly transforming tourism industry as well as support Cambodia’s digital marketing strategies to attract more Korean and foreign travelers.


Policy and marketing experts from the Korean Tourism Organization, Glance TV (a leading omni-channel in Korea), and NHN Doctortour Corporation (a major online travel agency in Korea) shared their marketing know-how as well as best practices and success stories of how they are responding and adjusting to the digital transformation of tourism. The experts also exchanged views with the Cambodian participants on ways to further develop and consolidate the competitiveness of the tourism industry, including through public-private partnerships in the increasingly competitive digital era.
