On 30 May, Secretary General Lee Hyuk delivered a presentation at the Jeju Forum 2019 session titled ‘Economic Aspects of the New Southern Policy: Achievement and Challenges’. The session began with a keynote address by H.E. Lim Jock Hoi, Secretary General of ASEAN, and the ASEAN panels presented on respective country’s responses to the New Southern Policy and discussed how ASEAN and Korea can strengthen its economic cooperation. Other key panels included H.E. Delia Domingo Albert, former Foreign Minister of the Philippines, Mr. Sok Touch, President of Royal Academy of Cambodia, Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Deputy Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment and Mr. Choi Seong Jin, CEO of Korea Startup Forum.
