The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary General Lee Hyuk) organized the ‘ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN) Cooperation Forum’ and ‘Smart City Technology Forum’ in 4-5 September at KINTEX in conjunction with the World Smart City Expo (WSCE 2019), co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and the Ministry of Science & ICT (MSIT), and organized by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water), and KINTEX.

The Centre invited local government officials from 26 pilot cities of the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN) to expand smart city development cooperation with Korea by sharing best practices and related technologies of Korea’s smart city development.

Participants also visited Seoul Expressway Traffic Information Center and Cheonggyecheon streams, to experience Seoul’s advanced smart technology firsthand.
