Investment and Business Environment Seminar on Cambodia
- Business opportunities in agricultural industry of Cambodia to be explored
Seoul, Republic of Korea - The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary General Kim Young-sun) will hold the Investment and Business Environment Seminar on Cambodia together with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the highest decision-making level of the government for private and public sector investment, at Shilla Hotel, Seoul, Korea on 29 June 2016.
This Seminar was designed to provide the Korean business community with up-to-date information on investment environment of the agricultural industry in Cambodia. Kim Young-sun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, Lee Taeho, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Korea, as well as Long Dimanche, Ambassador of Royal Embassy of Cambodia to Korea delivered remarks, respectively. In the following session, Chea Vuthy, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodian Investment Board and Cambodian Special Economic Zone Board, and other representatives from government organizations such as the Cambodian Investment Board, the Cambodian Special Economic Zone Board, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia gave briefings on investment environment and business opportunities in Cambodia. About 70 Korean businessmen who registered in advance attended to build network through one-on-one business meetings with representatives from government and business community of Cambodia and gain latest information on investment in Cambodia.
Kim Young-sun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre noted that “Cambodian agricultural industry has been rising as an attractive investment destination with high quality products and steady growth. Following the Korean delegation dispatched by the Centre who explored the business environment in Cambodia last February, the Seminar would serve as a platform for Korean companies to further expand their businesses into Cambodia.”
