Leading ASEAN game companies exhibit at largest “G-Star” in history
- ASEAN-Korea Centre to set up ASEAN Pavilion at the ‘Global Game Exhibition G-star 2022’ (17-19 November, Busan, Korea) -
Busan, Korea - The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary General Kim Hae-yong) will introduce 19 game companies from 7 ASEAN Member States (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand) at the nation’s largest global game exhibition, G-Star 2022, on 17 to 19 November 2022.
With 1,957 B2C (Business to Customer) booths and 564 B2B (Business to Business) booths participating in the exhibition, the G-Star 2022 is expected to record the largest scale gathering of global game companies from around the world and will be a venue of vast business opportunities.
The ASEAN-Korea Centre will introduce leading ASEAN companies ranging from game developers, publishers, 3D Arts service providers, VR, and business outsourcing companies at the B2B exhibition hall from November 17 to 19. This will be the first time in three years that the Centre invited ASEAN companies to participate in the offline exhibition where ASEAN companies will benefit from business meeting opportunities with Korean and global companies, buyers, and related companies in the search for new business prospects. With the rapid transition and growth of digital content production and consumption, especially since the spread of Covid-19, the exhibition is expected to allow key players of the ASEAN and Korean game industry to have dynamic discussions about pursuing various forms of cooperation.
On this occasion, the Center will also be organizing a seminar at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO, Seminar Room 126) from 2 pm on November 17 which will bring together game industry experts and companies from ASEAN and Korea whom have extensive experiences in global cooperation. In particular, the seminar will look at trends in the global game market, share ASEAN companies’ experiences in overseas collaborations, and discuss potential opportunities in entering the global market. Key speakers of the seminar include Mr. Yun Taewon, CBO of Super Evil Megacorp, as well as representatives from game companies in Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.
The ASEAN-Korea Centre has been participating in G-star annually since 2014 with the objective to support and promote competitive ASEAN game companies and their products and services, as well as by organizing related seminars and exhibitions to promote mutually beneficial exchanges between ASEAN and Korea in the contents industry.
