Lee Hyuk, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, said, “Films are not only the most popular form of entertainment, but also the means which enables us to better understand and adopt different cultures. The ASEAN-Korea Centre has been annually hosting the Short Film Competition and Festival since 2015 to provide a platform for ASEAN and Korean youth to visualize their creative ideas about the relations between ASEAN and Korea by using innovative imaging modalities. In addition, the Centre has been effectively promoting the ASEAN culture and the importance of ASEAN-Korea relations by screening the prize-winning short films during the event. As we plan to offer more benefits than ever this year, I look forward to seeing many excellent films being done by ASEAN and Korean youth.”
