- ASEAN-Korea Centre to participate in the ‘Global Game Exhibition G-star 2021’(17-20 November, Hybrid) -
Busan, Korea - The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary General Kim Hae-yong) will participate in the Global Game Exhibition G-star 2021 between 17?20 November 2021. The Exhibition is one of the largest game shows in Korea, hosting hundreds of international gaming companies annually. This year, 56 companies from 8 ASEAN Member States (Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand) are invited to the hybrid event.
Companies ranging from game developers, publishers, and e-Sports agencies will be attending this year’s Exhibition. At BEXCO, commercial counsellors from Embassies of 10 ASEAN Member States will introduce their respective companies to Korean businesses. For those who are unable to travel to Busan, online business meetings with ASEAN companies can be held through the G-star Live Biz Matching System. In addition, the ASEAN-Korea Centre will also host the ASEAN-Korea Game Industry Capacity Building Workshop on 16 November for ASEAN gaming companies exploring business opportunities in Korea. The Workshop will introduce ASEAN companies on the Korean game industry, market trends, contents development and marketing strategies.
Both the exhibition and the workshop are expected to be timely events for ASEAN and Korean game related companies to explore new projects and partnerships especially given the unprecedented rise in demand for digital contents in the past two years amid the pandemic.
