Release of Promotional Videos of Start-up Ecosystem of ASEAN and Korea
The ASEAN-Korea Centre releases promotional videos of ASEAN-Korea start-up ecosystem on 21 March, 2022
The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary General Kim Hae-yong) will release promotional videos on Start-up Ecosystem in ASEAN and Korea, produced in collaboration with the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACCMSME) and ASEAN Secretariat. The videos will be uploaded from the week of March 21st, 2022, on YouTube channels of the ASEAN-Korea Centre (www.youtube.com/akcsns) and ASEAN Secretariat (https://www.youtube.com/c/aseansecretariatofficial).
A total of 12 videos will be released: 2 videos on General Sessions and 10 videos on respective ASEAN Member States’ Sessions. Videos on General Sessions are comprised of presentations by 1) Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) of Republic of Korea (presented by Yong-Seok Roh, Director General for Startup Promotion Policy) and 2) the ASEAN Secretariat (presented by Dr. Le Quang Lan, Director of Market Integration Directorate). Videos on ASEAN Members States’ Sessions introduce respective start-up ecosystems of each member state. Relevant Government Ministries and agencies of each country provide insights on respective start-up ecosystem frameworks, data and statistics, funding, incentives, capacity-building programs, etc.
The main objective of this project is to share up-to-date information on ASEAN and Korea’s startup ecosystem where the main expected outcome is to have increased awareness and understanding of ASEAN-Korea’s startup ecosystem for potential investors as well as the general public.
In addition, the project is an extension of the ASEAN-Korea Centre’s continuous efforts in promoting ASEAN start-up through the “ASEAN-Korea Startup Week: Online Challenge” that the ASEAN-Korea Centre has been organizing since 2018. In this regard, the release of the videos as well as this year’s “ASEAN-Korea Startup Week 2022: Online Challenge”, to be held in October, are expected to further promote the economic cooperation between ASEAN and Korea and support the expansion of startup network, thereby strengthening and sustaining the mutual cooperation and partnership between ASEAN and Korea in startup ecosystem development.
