Celebrating this momentous year, the Contest will be held under the theme Way forward to Enhance ASEAN-Korea Relations in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) Era. The youths of ASEAN and Korean nationalities are highly encouraged to participate in the Contest.

With the aim to enhance the youth’s understanding on ASEAN-Korea relations and stimulate the creation of scholarly works on ASEAN-Korea relations, the Essay Contest is comprised of both Proposal and Essay stages, students are encouraged to work with guidance and support from their academic advisor. For more detailed information on the Essay Contest, interested students can visit the AKC website or register for the Online Briefing Sessions scheduled in April (Specific date will be announced in due course through AKC SNS).

Shortlisted proposals to enter the essay stage will be announced on April 22, and the final 6 winners for the contest will be announced on August 7, 2024. Specifically, this year, there will be study visits for the 2 Grand Prize winners who will have the opportunity to visit Korea, where they will be invited to present their winning essays at the ‘2024 Annual Conference of KASEAS’ scheduled to be held at the end of August in Busan, and Indonesia, where the ASEAN Secretariat is located. The other 4 winners will receive cash prizes of either KRW 1,000,000 or KRW 500,000 each.
