The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC, Secretary General Kim Jae-shin) successfully concluded the “2026 ASEAN Panorama”, a five-month rotating exhibition held from May 7 to September 30 at the Seoul ASEAN Hall on the first floor of the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul. Under the theme “Bigger, Bolder, Broader: The New ASEAN in Every Detail,” the exhibition introduced a wide range of products and companies from the 11 ASEAN Member States to the Korean public and business community, creating a venue for ASEAN-Korea exchange and cooperation.
The 2026 ASEAN Panorama expanded the ASEAN Trade Fair, which the AKC has held annually since 2014, and reorganized it into a five-month rotating exhibition. It opened with Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia in May, followed by Cambodia and Malaysia in June; Lao PDR, the Philippines and Timor-Leste in July; Myanmar and Thailand in August; and Singapore and Viet Nam in September. Over the exhibition period, 94 ASEAN companies took part, presenting 503 products in categories where ASEAN has particular strengths, including food and beverages, fashion and accessories, books, creative industries, and halal lifestyle products.
Drawing approximately 5,000 visitors, the exhibition went beyond product display to serve as a platform supporting practical business cooperation between ASEAN and Korean companies. Each month, the AKC ran a “Korean Market Entry Support Program” for the participating ASEAN companies and co-hosted a business seminar with the ASEAN-Korea Financial Cooperation Center (AKFCC) in Jakarta. At the seminar, experts from Shinhan Bank, the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC), BlissVine Ventures, Hanbridge Tax Accounting Corporation, and the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) shared practical information on finance, taxation, certification and other requirements for ASEAN companies entering the Korean market, and also provided tailored one-on-one consultations.
Participating companies also took part in one-on-one buyer meetings with major Korean retail and distribution companies, including Kim’s Club and CJ ONSTYLE, to explore potential partnership. Approximately 300 B2B business meetings were held over the course of the exhibition, enabling participating companies to broaden their networks for entering the Korean market and expanding their business.
Secretary General Kim Jae-shin of the AKC said, “Over five months, this exhibition brought the products and cultures of ASEAN Member States together in one place and served as a bridge connecting ASEAN companies interested in the Korean market with Korean buyers.” He added, “The AKC will continue to carry out programs to expand trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges between ASEAN and Korea.”
